Worldwide Parks
Origin of the project
This project is part of Silo’s Message major project. In 2003 the idea arose that wherever the Message was being practiced – besides the small neighbourhood halls- there should be a location with a great reference hall where all the members of the Communities of the Message could held common ceremonies.
The worldwide project of the Halls of the Message
The project has been continuously adapted during the last year(2004) as the Message evolved.
The original idea has been extended to a great multivalent hall for ceremonies, conferences, concerts, theatre performances, seminars, etc., accessible not only to those who are inspired by the spirit of the Message and Universal Humanism, but to anybody.
Naturally the first step of the whole project will be the purchase of a sufficiently large piece of land, on which a monolith bearing the date of foundation will be erected for the inauguration.
The second step will be the construction of the Hall, which should offer sufficient space for at least 100 persons. The internal form will be that of an empty semisphere with four entrances. On the outside the hall can be freely adapted (in terms of form and materials) to the cultural and natural environment.
Our aspiration is to build as soon as possible five of these great Halls in different places of the planet which represent historical locations of passage for the inhabitants of the respective regions: South America, North and Central America, Asia, Europe and Africa. In addition to these five locations two other medium-sized halls are planned in Chile and Spain.
|
In early 2004 a project was launched to build 'Community of the
Message' Parks around the world. This ongoing project has been evolving
in breadth and scope.
Five major Parks will be built, one in each continent: North America (in California), South America (near Buenos Aires, Argentina), Europe (in Umbria, Italy), Africa (near Alexandria, Egypt) and Asia (near Mumbai,India).

 |
In most cases, the Parks will be part of a larger complex that encompasses the Park proper, a stainless steel monolith, a multi-use building, a fountain, etc.
The following medium-size regional Parks are also being contemplated: Punta de Vacas, (Mendoza, Argentina), Manantiales (near Santiago, Chile) and Toledo (Spain).
|
Major Parks are typically located in the outskirts of metropolitan areas and close to major road intersections. Parks are meant to to be places for the realization of ceremonies, conferences and other events.

 |
Each Park is initially financed through a fundraising campaign. The money collected is then administered by a non-profit body which purchases the land, builds and maintains the complex. |
Red Bluff Park - North America
The Site for the North Hall, purchased on March 31, 2006 in Red Bluff, California, is a 4.5-acre parcel located in an agricultural area just 2 miles outside the Red Bluff city limits, bordering on historic highway 99E. Two sides are bordered by Salt Creek, the back is bordered by a prune orchard, and the front of the property lies on the beginning of a curve of the highway, making the property visible for about a mile as you travel west. |

Los Manantiales, Chile - South America
Los Manantiales is located 70 kilometers north of Santiago, Chile. The Chilean National Hall is located here in a 1.3 hectare property.
The Los Manantiales complex includes the Hall proper (a 9 meter dome) which easily accomodates 80 people sitting down, a six meter tall Monolith, a multi-use building, a brick and stainless steel stele containing the names of all those who supported the building of the complex and a water fountain. |
Attigliano Park - Europe
The area defined for the European Hall ia at about 1hr from Rome, near the border between the regions of Lazio e Umbria, along the Roma - Firenze Highway. The terrain is in the county of Attigliano (Terni province) in the Umbria region. It is 2 Km from the Highway exit. The nearest train stop is within few minutes walk from the Sala. The size of the terrain is about 0,8 hectares and located at the limit of Attigliano, town with about 2000 inhabitants. |
